Knubbly Support
Knubbly is a row counter for knitting and crochet. Tap after each row, keep track of pattern repeats, and pick up where you left off.

Email moo@nerdcow.co.uk. It helps to tell us which iPhone and iOS version you use, what you were doing and what happened. If it involves your Apple Watch, include its model and watchOS version too. Send feedback in the app’s Settings opens this page.
Counting rows
- Knubbly opens straight onto My project at row zero. Tap + Row after each row you finish.
- Tap Undo to take a row back. You can keep undoing, down to zero, including across a repeat end.
- Tap the project name to rename it, then Done on the keyboard. Your count stays as it is.
- Projects opens your list. With Knubbly Pro, Start another project adds one with its own count and repeat. Tap a project to switch to it.
Setting a repeat
- Tap Set a repeat, or the repeat button at the top. Set Rows in the repeat and How many times, for example eight rows, six times.
- If you have already started the pattern, set Rows of it already done. This places the repeat without changing the project’s total row count.
- Turn on Buzz at each repeat end for a longer buzz on the phone and Watch. Tap Start the repeat.
- Knubbly shows both the row within the repeat and which repeat you are on, plus your total rows and how many are left.
- Open the repeat button to change it. Save the repeat keeps the new settings; Stop using a repeat removes the repeat but leaves your row count.
Counting on Apple Watch (Knubbly Pro)
Open Knubbly on your paired iPhone first to bring your projects to the Watch. On the Watch, tap the counting area to add a row, or turn the Digital Crown up. Turn it down, or tap Undo, to take a row back. With more than one project, tap the name at the top to choose another.
The Watch sends counts to your iPhone, not directly to iCloud. If the phone is out of reach, changes wait to be sent when it reconnects. Avoid counting the same project on both devices while they are apart: if the counts disagree, the latest change wins rather than adding the two counts together.
iCloud and daily copies (Knubbly Pro)
In Settings, Your work tells you where your projects are kept. Keep in iCloud is on by default for Pro when your iCloud account is available. It keeps projects in your own private iCloud, on iPhones signed in to the same Apple Account. Changes to the switch take effect the next time you open Knubbly. Turning it off leaves your projects on the phone.
Daily copies keeps the newest 30 daily copies, one per day you use Knubbly. Once you have counted a row or set a repeat, a copy is made when you first open the app that day, then updated when you leave it after a change. Copies go in your iCloud when Keep in iCloud is on and iCloud Drive is available; otherwise they stay on the phone.
To go back, open Settings, find the day under Daily copies and tap Restore, then confirm. This replaces your current projects, counts and repeats with the ones in that copy, so check the date first. It does not change your other settings or remove the saved copies.
Knubbly Pro
One project with repeats stays free on your iPhone. Knubbly Pro adds as many projects as you like, counting on Apple Watch, iCloud and new daily copies. It costs $9.99 a year or $14.99 once (the App Store shows the price in your own currency). Both unlock the same things.
Questions
I bought Knubbly Pro but it is locked
Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then tap Restore purchase in Knubbly’s Settings, or Restore on the Knubbly Pro screen. The Watch checks your purchase with Apple too.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
To cancel the yearly subscription, open your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Knubbly. Cancel at least a day before it renews. The one-off purchase never renews. Apple handles payments and refunds: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What happens if Knubbly Pro ends?
Your projects stay and still count on the iPhone. Existing daily copies stay available to restore. Adding projects beyond the free limit, making new daily copies, iCloud sync and counting on the Watch need Pro.
iCloud is not saving
Check Your work in Settings. Make sure you have Knubbly Pro, are signed in to iCloud and have room in your iCloud storage, then close and reopen Knubbly. Your projects stay on the phone while iCloud is unavailable. Daily copies in iCloud also need iCloud Drive.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, with an optional paired Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later.
Does Knubbly collect my data?
No. See the Knubbly privacy policy.
